    “It was amazing to meet people as curious about us as we were about them. I wish I could have had more photos of the Yao women but they were so frightened of the camera that you had to respect that. Walking through the “unnamed” villages with no roads and seeing how these people lived was truly an eye opener for us. It was amazing. My favorite encounters were when I was giving out colored pencils to the children and the old women came up demanding them and when the children came out of the school house full of curiosity and no fear. They were darling.”
